Social Bookamarking

When my teacher first talked about social bookmarking, I had no clue what it was.  But later on in the lesson I learned that social bookmarking allowed you to save all of your bookmarks to a website instead of your computer so you can access it from anywhere, any computer and any device.  The website that we used for this is called delicious.com.  Social bookmarking can be a great way to save websites for students who need help with certain things, so they can automatically go to it.
My personal social bookmarking website is: http://www.delicious.com/lakesha93

Clickers in the Classroom

Clickers, which are student response systems are technology used to promote active learning between the student and teachers. Researchers have shown that students have been more engaged in class when they use their clickers, and the student enjoy it more.  One reason why students like clickers it because it allows for students to respond to problems anonymously, so that way students are not embarrassed if they get the wrong answer.  By having clickers in the classroom, the students are staying actively engaged the entire class period, they gain a level of understanding of the material being presented and it provides feedback to student questions.
